Building Tomorrow Today The Gateway Board looks forward to helping churches create new programs that are out of the box for their congregations. What worked for a church 30 years ago, may not work today. The congregation may not have changed much but the community it serves has probably changed quite a bit. A congregation that is attune to its neighborhood and the needs of the neighbors will find help from the Gateway Board in creating new and different ministry. Of equal importance is the Gateway Board’s role in starting new congregations. We have always worked with the Conference and with district superintendents to identify those places that need a United Methodist presence and have provide the district portion to fund new starts. We have worked with the district superintendents to create support teams to resource and advise the new start pastors. We enable the existing churches of the Gateway Districts to be a part of all new starts in the Gateway Districts. It’s all a part of being a connectional church. The financial support of the congregations of the Gateway Districts is our most important resource. Without it, we are unable to be as effective in providing the assistance those same congregations have come to depend on. The Gateway Board has been a partner of both districts in developing and supporting ministries for over 100 years. Through your donation to the Building Tomorrow Today campaign, the Gateway Board will be able to continue to provide grants and loans to build up new and existing ministries. New congregations will be established and existing congregations will discover new ways of making Disciples for Jesus Christ. Join us in Building Tomorrow Today! For more information contact Rev.
